# Compliance

> Track a client's posture against the CIS Critical Security Controls, mapped automatically from Telivy scan findings.

## Overview

The **Compliance** tab on a Risk Assessment tracks the client against the **CIS Critical Security Controls** (153 safeguards). Instead of filling in a compliance questionnaire from scratch, Telivy maps what it already found during the scan onto the CIS safeguards, so the assessment starts grounded in real endpoint and cloud evidence.

## What you see

Open the assessment and go to the **Compliance** tab. It shows the CIS controls with:

* A per-control **status** and **severity**.
* A **category filter** so you can focus on a specific CIS control group.
* The overall CIS posture for the client.

## Requirements

Compliance is available on any Risk Assessment. Live CIS data is delivered through the **Tentacle** integration, which requires a linked Unity customer with an active Tentacle subscription. Until that is set up, the Compliance tab shows a setup prompt instead of live controls.

See the [Tentacle](/integrations/tentacle) integration guide for the full setup steps.

  <Accordion title="Do the controls update when I rescan?">
    Yes. Because safeguard answers are mapped from scan findings, refreshing the assessment
